Stephen Colbert Wax Museum

Here is an episode of the Journalist Stephen Colbert in the Washington DC Wax Museum. I wanted you guys to see this besides it is funny I wanted you to see the wax figures of the Presidents we have posted around the classroom.

I figure this is a good way to start the Chapter on the Presidency!

  1. Stephen Colbert is hysterical. I noticed some of the presidents look just how they looked in photographs and others didn't quite as much. I also thought Stephen's wax person wasn't one of the better ones. I guess its a hit or miss with such a difficult craft, none of them are bad though they all resemble who they're supposed to be. A little weird how he wanted to lick them all though..

  3. The Colbert Report is hilarious, some might consider it offensive, yet at the same time it is educational. In my opinion, the wax figures of the presidents are almost identical to their actual appearance. I found it especially entertaining when Colbert had an obsession with licking the figures, and the guide was incredibly irritated with him. When, Steven receives his wax figure, he immediately licks him because he always wanted to lick himself. He is extremely funny and has a mind of his own...

  4. HAHA this was actually pretty funny. William Henry Harrison actually reminded me of one of the vampires from twilight which was funny because they made a reference to him looking like one. Abraham Lincoln looks so real, compared to the rest of them. And the end was extremely weird when Colbert decided to lick his wax statue...

  5. I thought Colbert was very funny in this video. I liked how he was breaking the guy's chops by asking him if he can lick Reagan, and how he kept on making fun of how the statues of the presidents came out. The guy at the museum was actually getting ticked off at Colbert and I thought that was even more hilarious

  6. I've only seen Stephen Colbert's show a few times, but in this video he was very witty. I like how he was making fun of the wax figures, especially when he noticed that the guy that was giving him the tour was getting a little annoyed. My favorite part was when he was sitting next to Lincoln's wax figure and he told him he was from the future and that Lincoln should get away from the theater. The fact that the guy that was giving him the tour was annoyed and mad made it all the more funny. I have been to Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in the city and even in this video, all of the wax figures look exactly like the real people.

  7. I had a feeling this video would give me a good laugh because Stephen Colbert is hysterical. When he was making jokes while going through the museum you can tell the tour guy was getting annoyed. Colbert obviously didn't do this to be disrespectful. The wax figures looked so real. This was an interesting way to start off the lesson about the Presidents.

  8. All the statues look realistic. I thought it was funny how Colbert asked what the "S" in Ulysses S. Grant stood for, and then walked away before he got the answer, and how he made a joke about FDR sitting. It was really strange that he is obsessed with licking the presidents.

  13. The video was very entertaining. The wax sculptures though were pretty amazing though. Every little detail was resembled what they were supposed to. I could see that Colbert was really excited to finally get his own wax sculpture, seems like it tasted pretty good too.

  14. This was so funny to watch, his comments, especially when he said the woman was a man and how he was sitting next to Lincoln saying run while you can at the movie theater setup. It makes it more interesting to learn about the presidents this way.

  15. All of the wax figures looked extremely realistic. I thought the funniest parts was when he said Harriet Tubman was Tiger Woods and when he wanted to know why FDR gets to sit down. Stephen Colbert is the only person to ever make politics funny/interesting.

  23. Colbert was funny as always. I guess taking him into a wax museum was the perfect time to expect crazy reactions. I've been to he wax museum before and the statues are very well done. But Colbert's corny criticisms made them funny. It was very cool seeing him reveal himself! ...he got to taste himself =) lol (weirdo)

  26. Stephen Colbert was hilarious during this video. All of the wax sculptures looked very real espically Lincoln's. The funniest joke he said throughout the video was when he asked why FDR got to sit down. The person giving the tour was growing more angry at him, which made it even funnier. The ending was great when he finally got the chance to lick himself. Some people might view him as disrespectful but I do not think so.

  27. Stephen Colbert is always funny, i like how he takes serious news and puts his own twist to it. I do not know why the tour guide was getting mad at Colbert because he should know that Stephen is going to try and make it humorous.
