  1. Romney is getting at Obama on the issues in American about the economys. Obama's is explaing why he's plans failed and how he can fix them. I don't like the 2 mins time limit to talk. Romney was stuttering in his speech.

  2. For starters, this moderator is doing a terrible Job. He can barely control the debate. Romney is just an idiot. He has no upper lip and this significant flaw on his face made it hard for me to listen or even take him seriously. I am convinced he thinks he has this election in the bag. His I like PBS and you too did not amuse me one bit. Your trying to be the president not the next Kevin hart. Romney has this cocky way about him that makes him seem arrogant. I find it interesting that Romney claims a lady in Wisconsin spoke to him about her financial status. I am pretty sure Wisconsin is 97% white. I find alittle humor in that. Romney would not allow Obama to speak because he knows whatever comes out of Obamas mouth will put Romney and his useless plans to shame. Romney only cares about the people with money and business owners. All these critics and people keep saying Obama has done nothing are ignorant. You can not expect Obama to fix years of damage done by republican Bush. It takes more than 4 years to change and fix the United States. The facial expressions Romney makes while Obama is speaking makes my skin crawl. He has this smirk on his face as if he's better than the president.

  3. In my opinion, this debate is extremely entertaining and engaging. I feel that Romney and Obama both have strenghts as well as weaknesses in their speeches. Specifically, Romney often verbally attacked Obama about his programs based on healthcare and creating businesses. Obama did not really fire back at Romney, instead he chose to think of ways on how to fix and progress with his ideas. Next, Obama focuses on the future and emphasizes on the idea of deficit to surplus which derived from President Clinton's term. Romney wants to stop borrowing money from China and to cut-back on employment. Whereas, Obama wants the rich to contribute more. Watching these debates are very informative because they give you a sense on what type of the president the candidates will turn out to be, and I believe it would be beneficial to combine some of their strenghts to form an effective system. Romney may have better experience with big businesses, but Obama is more relevant when it comes to social security and education.

    1. In addition, I feel that the moderator is not controlling the debate well enough because there were several times in which both candidates exceeded their time limits.

  4. After watching the first hour of the debate, I am still against Mitt Romney. He continues to not be personable and rude, (interrupting the moderator and the president several times). I feel as if Mitt Romney looks down on Americans, completely denying he knows anything about his tax breaks. President Obamas statements about his grandmother and medicare make him seem more relate able to voters, both republican and democratic.

  5. I agree with most of the things Obama says and understand his views better than Romneys. I dislike the way Romney portrays himself, almost as if he already won the election. He acts as if he is better than Obama in a sense. He laughs while Obama speaks and cuts him off because he is scared of Obama making a better point. I also feel like Romney is all for the wealthy people and Obama is more for lower class citizens. Another thing I don't like is that people are saying Obama hasn't done anything meanwhile he has made a lot of positive changes in such a short time after many negative things went on.

  6. I am completely against Mitt Romney. I hate the way he makes his speeches and debates. He is only concerned about wealthy people and now lower class like Obama. Romney always attacks Obama on healthcare and businesses. Also, Romney would not let Obama speak. He obviously knows that Obama will have a lot more to say and come at him with. In my opinion Obama did a lot for our country and is continuing to. Obama shows a lot of respect to Americans unlike Romney. I definitely would not mind if Obama stayed President. Romney on the other hand, i think would ruin this country.

  7. After watching this debate, it made me support Obama even more. First of all, Mitt Romney came off as pretty rude. He would interrupt the moderator constantly. Obama would apologize for going over the time limit and Romney wouldn't. Romney verbally attacked Obama a lot of times and often seemed like he was almost laughing while Obama was speaking. Romney kept repeating himself which made him seem like he didn't have much to say. I love Obama's plan of giving the middle class tax breaks in order to give the middle class a little more money to put in their pockets. People who are rich and wealthy have more than enough money whereas middle class people or poor people are always broke. I feel like after Obama shared his opinions and ideas, Mitt Romney would basically agree with him but then tell him how he was wrong, which didn't make sense at all to me. I feel like he did that because he didn't have much to say so he just wanted to take whatever Obama had to say and criticize it. Mitt Romney kept talking about how Obama hasn't improved the country and Obama admitted that he has made mistakes during the past 4 years. But he also spoke about his plans on fixing those mistakes. The moderator didn't control the debate very well since he let Mitt Romney interrupt him several times and he let both presidential candidates go over the time limit every time.

    1. Also, Mitt Romney barely spoke about things that he actually plans on doing if he wins the election. He basically only spoke about what Obama has done wrong. At least Obama talked about how he plans on improving this county.

  8. I agree with the President's views on how to improve the economy by strengthening the middle class. Obama stated that the only way to fix the economy is with a balanced plan to raise revenue (taxes) and reduce spending. Romney just kept saying he would balance the budget, reduce the deficit and create jobs but failed to say exactly how he would accomplish this. He also kept repeating the lie about the 716 billion dollar cut to Medicare - he made it sound as if this money was being taken directly from the senior citizens that are currently on Medicare. The Congressional Budget Office stated that these cuts do not come out of the Medicare trust fund - they will make the plan more efficient and extend the life of the program. I also feel like Romney was very arrogant.

    1. In addition, Romney is all big talk about how in the last 4 years very little was done. This recession is constantly compared to the great depression. How long did it take FDR to get the country out of the depression? Four terms. I think for one term, the president has done pretty well for us. Obviously he's no miracle worker he can't keep every promise, especially when you're a democrat president elected with a republican house that will filibuster and will refuse to work with your party on most issues. I think he's done pretty well and deserves four more years.

  9. Before i watched this debate i thought Obama should stay president. But after i have saw this debate i honestly dont know who i would vote for. There were times in this debate where i agreed with both of them. But also times where i disagreed with both of their views. I honestly do not know who i would vote for. But during the Debate i think that Romney spoke better than Obama. Romney sounded more confident and Obama did not really sound that confident

  10. Romney and Obama have been interrupting the moderator the whole debate. Obama even kissed up to the moderator a little bit. Aside from that, I thought Romney spoke very well just in the way he presented himself. Obama did great too, by mentioning what he did right while Romney mentioned what Obama did wrong. I didn't like how Romney was speaking about other countries negatively. If he was currently the president and speaking like that, a lot of pople would not be happy with the United States.

  11. Before watching the debate I supported Romney and after watching it I still do. Even after the debate they showed a poll asking who debated better and Romney had the most votes. What I liked the most out of what Romney said was about the Taxes. He was saying that the middle class are pretty bad right now they buried, their income has came down and need help. The only thing thats unsure for me is Romney's tax cuts and if it will really work out. I dont like that Obama kept insisting Romney's tax cuts would cost 5 trillion and yet had no proof, that annoyed me. Obama also quoted Clinton too much and smirked at every comment Romney said. I thought it was funny when Romney brought up big bird and also when he said the comment about the Obama's anniversary being spent at a debate, how romantic. I think Romney spoke a lot better.

  12. This discussion was probably the best debate I have ever seen that had to do with politics. Romney came out stronger than he usually did, and really tried to go after Obama like he always does. Now though Romney's speech was good I realized that some of the things that he has been saying the last few months he has somehow reworded it and that threw Obama off. It really had an affect on the responses Obama gave tonight because we all know he is an amazing speaker. People continue to go back to the fact that Obama hasn't done anything with the four years he has been president. It took a former prescient 8 years to bring down our country so why people think it can be fixed in 4 years I will never understand. He needs time and voters to be smart and not vote because if what political party they are but what will most likely benefit the United States Of America.

  13. Last nights debate was very interesting. I feel like Obama and Romney both did very different things. When Romney spoke he was mostly speaking to Obama and attacking him. When Obama spoke he was mainly speaking to the American people through the camera. Obama didnt't attack Romney as much. I feel like Obama went into detail saying what and how he would do it. Romney didn't really go into detail. He just said what he was going to do not how he was going to do it.

  14. In my opinion, I agree with the polls that state that Romney had been the winner of the debate. He had clearly shown that he has great concern for the middle classes and small businesses. Obama had constantly repeated that Romney insists on cutting taxes for higher class Americans, and although denying that, Obama repeated the exact same argument over and over again. Following that, Obama had also shown very poor body language during the debate. While Romney had looked directly toward Obama when speaking, Obama would only look towards the crowd when speaking, if not down towards his stand, making odd faces and gestures. Obama had also taken more time than he was supposed to have to cover issues he did not even fully address, as well as bring up irrelevant stories that also had taken up unnecessary time, such as his comments about his Grandmother and his Wife's anniversary. Though I agree it was not appropriate for Romney to avert some questions, but it seemed unfair when he was getting cut off as well as Obama attempting to get both the first and last word of every argument.

  15. Lst night on the debate I believe Romeny did a better debate then Obama. They both skipped around alot and keeped on not answering eachother and the questions. Mitt Romny anoyed me alot more he kept interupteing the guting charge and he is going to shut off local channles like PBS that means no Sesseme Street! Ohh no I totally disagree on that how can he cut off shows with educational meaning and what has been on for years that is so not cool! But overall the debate was good and they just have to stick to the questions and not jump around and Romney you have to big time stop thinking you are full of yourself and cutting people off.

  16. this debate was really interesting to watch. i think romney did a better debate than obama. obama looked tired and didnt really seem into it. romney was more outspoken and aggressive. they both werent really answering questions with straight answers. they both werent really listening to the mediator.

  17. Romney was better prepared he seemed like he knew what he was talking about more than Obama did. He was more energetic and Obama seemed tired and a little bit flustered. Obama wa saying how Romney wants to make a $5 trillion tax cut and give 2 trillion to the military that they are not asking for. Romney argued back that he is not asking for a tax cut at all. Romney is also giving people an alternative option to Obama care that will effect future retirees not those retiring in the immediate future.

  18. I think that debate was good to watch because it was informitave but i think that neither candidates really did amazing because they kept going around the subject and not answering the questions. Romney was contradicting himself during the debate and also contradicting things that he has said in past speeches. Obama didnt do very well either but no one is giving him any credit for anything he has done in his four years because we are in a time of war and he has certain other things to worry about.

  19. I am for Obama, but I think Romney actually did a better job than Obama did at this debate. I think the moderator did a terrible job at well being the moderator. He stopped the president too early even though he actually has 5 seconds left to finish his statement. I hope in the next debate the moderator does a better job and actually lets the speakers talk for the correct amount of time. Overall I think Romney had a better debate, but he was very immature. Obama stood his ground and was very mature. I hope the next debate is better.

  20. I found the debate to be really interesting as a variety of topics were discussed such as healthcare, education, employment, green energy, federal funding, etc. In terms of presentation, Romney appeared to be more prepared than Obama as Romney was extremely articulate, made great eye contact, and maintained a clear and consistent tone of delivery. Obama, on the other hand, stumbled upon his words, held his head down while Romney debated, and had inconsistent tone. In terms of content, I found Romney to appear too scripted which didn't feel genuine. It felt as if he practiced key phrases with the intent of captivating his audience but would never follow-up on his promises. I felt Obama was the opposite and connected with the audience by using real-life examples that Americans could relate to (ex. Obama's grandmother & his 25th wedding anniversary).

  21. I found the debate to be very boring. Although i think Romney was more prepared, both candidates were going around the questions and bringing up other topics. I felt like Obama was studdering and to slow to answer the questions while Romney had alot to say jumping right into the answers. Obama seemed as if he didnt even wanna be there. Romney was more aggressive in answering the questions, he kept cutting off Obama because he wanted to get his point across. Although i think Romney had a better speech and did a better job, everything he said was changed from his first speech when he was running for president.

  22. I personally think that Romney's debate was more aggressive and prepared compared to Obamas. Obama almost seemed like he didn't need to explain himself when asked questions. Every time that Romney was asked a question, he had a quick and reasonable answer to shoot back with. I feel like every time Obama was answering a question, Romney was very prepared to go back and argue his point against Obamas decision. From my point of view, I think that Romney overall made a better debate than Obama did.

  23. In my opinion the whole debate was boring, the moderator couldn't control anything President Obama and Mitt Romney were saying. When they were asked questions about specific topics they both went around the question. Romney was constantly repeating himself about his tax cuts and President Obama didnt show much interest in the debate. Since Mitt Romney constantly cut off President Obama maybe we couldve herd more about the Presidents plans or say what Romeny can't do for America. Overall Romney did have an edge over President Obama. They both had some good ideas but President Obama is a better candidate. No President can fix America in a four year time period but he has did many things for America and can continue to put America on the right track.

  24. I think Romney had a mindset to win and not let go. Obama was more calm,, but all in all they both never fully answered the questions they were given, and they were very repetitive. It was a little funny that Romney now decided to change his complete plan that he had been advertising for so long. I don't think that gave him a good look. Like he can flip flop when ever he feels to do so. I hope Obama goes back to his great speaking self at the next debate!

  25. I really did not enjoy watching this at all. They both interrupted the moderator repeatedly which I thought was a little childish of potentional presidents. Romney was especially rude. He cut Obama off and had a bad attitude. He is all for the wealthy people an doesn't sound like he will do anything for the middle class. I am personally for Obama. I think he put up a goood argument and for the most part he was respectful to Romney. He wants to help and strengthen the middle class. I feel that he needs another four years in office and we will all see the goodd he will do for our country
