Socialism and Communism

There has been many arguments among Americans regarding the Policies of President Obama and the debate over the President being a "socialist and communist". After reading Chapter 1 Section 4 (page 26?) on Socialism and Communism gather evidence to debate in class whether the President can or can not be looked at as Communist and Socialist. Be sure to use facts and evidence ONLY based on the definitions of socialism and communism and the characteristics of both from the TEXT. Also keep in mind does the United States already have socialist reforms in place prior to Obama?

On Monday we will be breaking into large groups and having an in class Debate be PREPARED as this will count for part of your grade! ANYONE who does not have anything prepared with notes and ideas on looseleaf for this will get a low grade!
