Shniece Archer - I'm not saying Obama is amazing nor is he a miracle worker but Romney should NOT become our next president. His speech has nothing to do with helping poor or minorities with there financial status or helping them find stable jobs. How does Romney expect Obama to fix the economy when it crashed 6 weeks before he was elected president. The best part of Romney's speech was his corny iPod joke. If he becomes president the poor people class will rise tremendously meaning there will only be two classes left. Rich or Poor. Lord help us.
ReplyDeleteOne weak point of Ryan and Romney's speeches were that they didn't mention the troops or military families. They seemed that they only wanted to defeat the opponent but offered no concrete evidence that they would do a better job. Also, it's clear Ryan lied in his speech about the 716 billion dollar Medicare cut, when his own proposed budget makes that same cut. Its clear both sides have their own agenda, but it looks to me that the Democrats seem to be more concerned about the working and middle class, education, and creation of jobs.
ReplyDeleteRyan and Romney were both very good speakers. Even they were good speakers I believe they were very full of themselsves. Ryan kept on talking about his community and his family not about us, the other americans. Ryan lied in his speech. He said that Obama threw away money,he wasted it . Even though there was economic problems in the U.S. he still tried to help others not just in his community but through out the U.S. They (The Republicans)love to critize. They'd blamed Obama and make him look so much like a bad guy but if you hear Obamas speech he only mentioned Romney's name barely he focusd more on what he is going to do next for the U.S. then critizing and making himself look so "cool." I liked how Clinton praised Obama and said what he did for us, america. I liked how he presented himself. I believe the Democrates did a better job on focusing on our nedds like education and working then the Republicans who focused on their community and their life.

I think both Mitt and Ryan were both very good speakers and they told a lot of jokes. However, it seemed to me as if they were more out to beat Barack Obama than anything else just because he's a democrat. Mitt Romney basically said that the Republicans left a mess of this country in Bush's 8 years in office, and Obama didn't fix it up fast enough during HALF of that time, which is a crazy expectation. Also, he said that Obama was a disappointment and has done a terrible job, which is his personal opinion and not a fact. They also didn't really discuss the important issues, like helping out the middle class or those in poverty.
ReplyDeleteI loved Clinton's speech because he spoke about wanting a strong middle class and he even said that we're all in this together. He had a lot of good ideas about how to make this country prosper. He also made a good point when he said that he does not hate Republicans but they seem to hate our President and most democrats, which supports what I said before about Romney just wanting to beat Obama.
- Floralisa Ortega
Paul Ryan and Romney speech was OK. He did not really tell us what Romney was going to do to help us fellow Americans and he also did not tell us how Romney will help. Ryan spoke more about his families and himself more than anyone else. Himself and his family are not the only people living in America. Because of this, I feel Romney and Ryan will help benefit more for their family than Americans not caring how everyone else feel about what they will do to change the world, for example, raising taxes to the middle class and lowering it for the higher? Does that make any sense?! To me it sounds like they are trying to save money for themselves and help the middle class become lower class! Which means there will only be a rich class and a poor class just like what Shniece mentioned. Yes, Ryan and Romney pointed out the flaws of Obama but that's the only strong points they made but I feel like they just bashed him out. Why bash out Obama and not say what and how you will help? They just continue of what they've been through... They need to speak more about what AMERICANS have been through and are still going through this present day.
ReplyDeleteBill Clinton is an amazing speaker just like president Obama. There is nothing negative I can say about him. I just love his speeches, and his ideas. I just feel like I am hypnotized when he speaks!
- Aneisha Ifill
Mitt Romney's speech was rather annoying. I don't think he is a good speaker, he didn't capture my attention, and he didn't even say what he was going to do for the country. I felt that he focused more on his corny jokes, his personal life, and all the bad things that have been going on in our country. As I was listening, I was waiting for him to bring up points that he will try and pursue if he did become president, but he didn't. As a woman, I did appreciate when he said how his mother stated when she was running for senator "why should woman have any less say in the great decisions of our nation?" That was mainly all I appreciated in his speech. Paul Ryan didn’t capture my attention either. Presentation is key when public speaking and he did not carry presentation. Neither Romney or Ryan said anything about helping the military and the families and I thought that was extremely selfish.
ReplyDeleteBill Clinton on the other hand did have stage presence and captured my attention. He spoke about how Obama inherited an economy in a free fall and jobs were being lost at a high pace and Obama was able to get back a lot of those jobs. The auto industry was going back rupt and Obama made a big decision to bail out the auto industry and it worked. Clinton said no matter who was president even himself, could not have turned everything around in 4 years. Clinton also spoke about how Obama made it a mission to capture Osama Binladen and the military succeeded. Obama has acknowledged that there are still problems in the world and with the policies he has put in place, he is confident they will do the job in the next 4 years.
-Briana Munoz
I feel that Paul Ryan spent way too much time criticizing the Obama administration. He mostly spoke about what Obama did wrong, and what he should have done, but he didn't speak about what they want to do. We don't need them to make promises they may not be able to keep, but we at least deserve to hear what they would attempt do. He said they intend to solve the nation's economic problem and get America creating wealth again, but how? That's what every candidate says. They say they're going to fix a problem before they get in office, and then when they're elected they have no idea what the answer is because they were so focused on winning they forgot the question.
ReplyDeleteI think Clinton's speech was informative. He spoke about how Obama has tried, and how he will try to solve the issues. Obama has made changes to help, but there are still some people that they haven't effected yet. Clinton didn't lie and say that Obama was going to immediately get things back to normal. Obama is going to slowly make things newer and better so that future generations, not just mine, can prosper and hopefully not have to worry about not finding work and the economy crashing.
i do not think Romney should be our next president for several reasons. His speech was not well organized and he did not hit every aspect of helping out the less fortunate at all. He got my attention but he did not give a good speech he left out very important points. Paul Ryan was also bad at giving his speech, he did not make sense to me at all. They both showed that they just wanted to be president and not care about helping out the people.
ReplyDeleteBill clintons speech was not so bad and the people like hearing his plans to help out the people. His ideas are not bad and he had a well organized speech.
- Diana Toma
DeletePresident Obama was not perfect but hes trying to make the best of what is going on in the world. He's a very good speaker and he informed Americans of what he would do if he was elected again. At least he shared his plans for moving forward. Mitt Romney on the other hand only talked about himself, his family and his church, and shared stories about his childhood. More people live here than just Romney's family. Too be honest nobody cares about that, they want to know what he would do for the American people if he was elected president. Not once did I hear Romney talk about his policies or his numbers for the country or how to make America better. How does Romney expect to slove anything in America? Romney blamed Obama for everything that has happened. But half the problems were created when George Bush was in office for 8 years. If Mitt Romney is elected into office, America will be on a downward spiral. For example cutting taxes for the rich and increasing taxes for the middle class makes absolutely no sense.
ReplyDeleteBill Clinton has been there and done that. He knows exactly what to say and how to get the American people interested in what President Obama is trying to do if he's elected again. Clinton is trying to tell the people no predsident can get things fixed in no time but it will take time. He also talked about President Obama's successes such as when he made the choice to go after Bin Laden.Clinton is more sure that President Obama will be able to even do more for America if he is elected again.
- Jonathan Gould Morais
Jayme Wheeler- I think Ryans speach touched down on really good points of things the US president has to change, college mostly and getting the country back on its feet. he talked bad about Obama which somebody running against him should do but not to the extent he went too. the strong points of ryans speech was how he presented himself and how he talked to everybody. he got their attention and told them exactly what they wanted to hear. he didnt catch my attention because he was just talking bad about Obama. he was also telling me things i already knew, for example that our country is in dept. he kept saying that Romney and himself will fix the problems but he didnt tell us how their going to do so. he shouldve told us ideas that he had to help fix everything instead of just telling us general information.
ReplyDeleteI think Romneys speach was almost identical to ryans speach. I thought romney was saying the same thing he was. He didnt catch my attention at all and it bored me. I dont think he should be president because he didnt tell me anything he had instore for us. He also went off topic a lot but talking about Neil Armstrong.. Who cares, hes not fixing anything.
Bill clintons speach was very good with getting peoples attention because he knows exactly what to say to people. He didnt talk bad about romney or ryan. He helped me understand more about Obamas presidency, what he did and how he helped. He told us how obama has tried very hard and even though everything isnt perfect yet it will be soon. He reassured everybody. He also let everybody know that things are happening it may not be rapidly but they are happening for all of us now and for years to come.
I honestly can not stand Mitt Romney. I do not think he should have the honor of being our president. All that was said in his speech was that our country was doing bad, he did not give us any ways he would help. Both Ryan and Romney did not even discuss the troops and their families. I feel that they don't really care as much as they should. All they really did was make jokes, and talk about their personal lives. Bashing Obama is not going to help them either, proving to us they can help our country will. I also feel that they are going to ruin the middle class. All they think about his the wealthy. They say if you make a lot of money and they you should pay less. I really did not like the way they presented their speeches.
ReplyDeleteBill Clinton had my full attention in his speech. He made it clear that Obama did help our country and still is trying too. Clinton also made it clear by saying that Obama can not do everything in one shot but will slowly help our country. Barack Obama walked into our countries problem and still helped us. Obama has stuck by his word so far as president. He brought home troops and they have captured and killed Bin Laden. To me, that shows Barack Obama is in the right path and his working hard for our country. I personally think he deserves this honor.
Samantha Oggeri
In my opinion Ryan should spend less time insulting Obama and more time giving details about what him and his running mate Mitt Romney are going to do to improve America. Reminding people what has gone wrong is pointless unless you provide details as to what you're going to do right. Mitt Romney's speech didn't keep me interested and he didn't strike me as a good speaker or leader because he pretty much repeated what his Vice President nominee said. The republican speeches were poor, I feel like they don't know what they're going to do so they point out the flaws in Obama's plan, At least Obama has a plan. I'm afraid to say in my opinion there were no strong points to the speeches. Bill Clinton, on the other hand spoke excellently pointing out the things Obama has done for the country. He kept me interested and engaged the crowd.
ReplyDeletePresident Obama had a lot of good points and discussed a lot of things that he would do for the country and also things he has already done. Romney only spoke of everything the country needs and how bad it is he did not mention things he would do to make changes. I feel that there was no reason for either party to insult one another either, or to point out what was wrong with the other candidates thoughts. I also feel that Obama is a very good speaker and always has my attention, unlike Ryan and Romney who are very negative and do not interest me.
ReplyDeleteI thought that Paul Ryan was a good speaker and had a sense of humor during his speech. In his speech it seemed like he just stated everything that Obama did wrong for the country during his time as president , he never said anything about him and Romney's ideas for fixing those mistakes. I think he should of spent more time telling us his ideas instead of talking about how bad Obama's ideas were. in Mitt Romney's speech I thought he was an ok speaker , he didnt really cacth my attention to much, he just stated everything that Paul Ryan said in his speech.
ReplyDeleteI thought that Bill Clinton is a good speaker and really had my attention. He didnt speak anything bad about Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney, he spoke about how Obama is making good choices for the country and that good things will happen for our country but it will take some time.
-Lynn Rayder
In my opinion i think that Obama should stay president. I say this because i think that what he is trying to do with health care is good. Obama is looking out for the middle class and is also trying to help out the United States. Also Obama is a great leader and can really get the attention of the citizens of the united states. On the other hand i do not think Romney should be our president at all. He was just critizing Obama's ideas. I believe that if he becomes president he will not help the middle class at all. Bill Clinton speech was amazing. I agree with him 100% he explained how Obama really helped our country from ending the war to finding and killing bin ladin. Also he explained how Obama was trying really hard to help our country get into better condition . His speech made me support Obama even more.
ReplyDeleteJustin Manon
After watching the Republican speeches, I discovered many negative aspects about them. First off, Paul Ryan mainly just focused on his own situation, and he constantly mocked Obama's ideas. Also, I wasn't persuaded by Ryan's speech, and I think it is pointless to vote for him and Romney. Usually, when you decide to point out someone's flaws, you give reasons why and solutions on how to fix them. Unfortunately, Ryan just discussed the issues in America at this point (the economy, education, and health care). He did not give any solutions on how to fix them, and rebuild this government. In addition, Romney's speech was not appealing to me because I feel like his ideas on how to fix the economy are indefinite and not profound. He talked about Obama's ideas, and how he disliked them, but he did not describe his own. In my opinion, if Romney is elected, he will only bring this nation into another war, and there will be another major financial downturn. He lacks the charisma, dedication, and determination that Obama portrays.
ReplyDeleteWhereas, Clinton has amazing speech qualities, and he knows how to catch the nation's attention. He was a great President, and if he believes Obama has made progress and will continue to do well, then he is most likely correct. Clinton is much more well-spoken and accurate than Ryan and Romney. This country is screaming for change, and I think the best candidate to provide it, is Obama.
- Alex Kaufman
Strong points of Ryan about the health care Obama has created, it is not fair that they are taking money out of the medical care. Weak points is when Ryan talked about Obama and the fact that he did nothing, being president is difficult. The only only way he knows how to fix problems is by telling people that they waste their money. Who are you to tell someone not to spend their money? Is that their only problem solver? Romney talked a lot about himself and his family which is great but his speech should of been more about what he will do, if he becomes president. The best part of Romney's speech is when he quoted his mother " why should woman have any less to say then men in any great decision facing the nation".
ReplyDeleteBoth Clinton and Obama's speech were great. They had my attention the whole time. Obama talked about things that matter the most to my parents and I. My parents are in the middle class, and I see how much taxes they have to pay and it's not fair. All Obama needs is time.
Shannon Hayes: After watching both Romney and Ryan's speeches, I believed they are both good speakers and intelligent men, men that could lead our country. Also, Romney tells us that he can create twelve-million jobs for those who need it with his economic plan. I believe the influence of my conservative views leads me to believe that Romney and Ryan are a good choice to improve America. And, I don't believe anything has changed in America in the last four years although we were told that there would be a change. Mit Romney's health care plan is very different from Obama's. Romney will pursue policies that give each state the power to craft a health care reform plan that is best for its own people. While Obama's plan (Obamacare) involves every citizen getting "free" health care. This plan is only free for citizens without money, with Obamacare, the middle class would have to pay more taxes just so others can get free healthcare, is that fair to us, to our parents?
ReplyDeleteBill Clinton's speech spoke about how Barack Obama "did such great things for our country", i'd rather not voice my opinion. I don't believe we should take a president who was impeached very seriously...The only thing I believe that went well so far in Obama's presidency was the capture of Bin Laden.
Ashley Ralston: with the campains comming to such a close finish it is no wonder why both canidates gave such stron speaches. Obama gave a captivating speah pointing out his successes in the past four years which included the capture and kill of Osama Bin Ladin bring General Moters back to a stable state bring home some of out troops from the middle east ending the war in the middle east and passing a health care bill allowing all americans the right to health care the one thing i believe Obama did wrong is he did not discuss any of his futue plans to fix the nations econimy we are not at a great state as of right now and there are still millions of americans out of jobs luckily that is what Romney and Ryan both focused on that is their speaches along with education and health care......but that was all they highlighted what are your plans for the middle east how about cutting back on the use of fourgin oils or new bills and law ideas that you wish to pass if your only worries about our economy how much are you really going to get done in four years. therefor i thin k Obama owuld be a better vote in Novemeber look how far he has brought us in four years thin k back four years would you ever think a man asking for a chance at change could accvomplish so much? exactly so there is no doubt in my mind the Obama can move us foward back to pre 9/11 times in the next four years as he wishes to do Bill Clinto did a great job as well expressing highlights of Obamas presidency in his speach but the choice is nor his or mine b ut the peoples so we will just have ton see what november brings.
DeleteAfter watching and listening to Romney's and Ryans speeches, I wasn't really sure what they were trying to get across. They werent really focused on the problems that need to be fixed and more focused on bashing Obama and talking about personal things. Both of the speakers weren't able to hold my attention for long being that they didn't prove or justify the reason why I should vote for Romney. The entire time I was watching the speeches, I was just waiting for one of them to say a reason why I should vote for him. All the things that they tried saying Romney would do for our country if elected, were not things that I personally agreed with. They did not hit the points that were necessary like the troops at war and stuff like that either.
ReplyDeleteClinton and Obamas speeches I thought were a lot better. They mainly focused on the solutions that are needed and the plans that Obama wants to do. Obamas speech wasnt bashing Romney as muchas Romney was bashing him. I personally still do not know how I feel about Obama, but I do know that I would much rather him as my president than Romney. I think that Obama has done a lot since the start of his presidency and from the looks on the speeches, it looks like he will continue to still do more.
-Robert Cann
It was extremely easy to zone out while listening to Romney speak. He definitely does not speak like Obama. Romney seems to just have all his boring jokes rehearsed, and he doesn't speak from the heart. He calls America's deficit "Obama's trillion dollar deficit." It's not Obama's, it was there before he became president. When Romney finally decided to start speaking about what he will do for our country, he gave himself til 2020! Really?! Meanwhile, all he did was bash on Obama for not performing miracles in just 4 years. All in all, I did not like Romney's speech because it seemed as though his point was to only make Obama look like a failure.
ReplyDeleteClinton is a great speaker by far. I liked that he stayed very positive throughout his speech. He speaks like a true kind man- explaining that he never learned to have hatred towards Republicans they way they do towards Democrats today.
There was a big difference at the Republican and Democrat conventions. The majority of the people at the Rep. convention were the upper class...whoopty doo -_- Meanwhile, at the Democrat convention there was a much bigger diversity of people. I dont think the Republican convention looked like an image of America, the Democrat convention did :)
Brianna Rios
After watching both discussions from either republican and democratic sides, I find personally that neither had been done well in discussing things with the people. For the Republican speech, it had been nothing but mockery and repetition of simply in other words, undoing what Obama had apparently done or had in store. And on the side of the Democrats, I find that again, mostly mockery, but also with a hint of unreal ideas thrown in as well. The democratic belief seems to tell the people that things will be better and free with no downside, without telling people where the money will be coming from or out of to make said healthcare reforms, it seems many of the democratic supporters are a bit ignorant to the fact that most of Obama's plans are mere fallacies. Though it is a good theory, to live well and careless without the thought of expenses, it seems very unlikely to work without a problem. With very unrealistic bullet points from the Democratic side, and so much repetition from the Republican side, on-top of the constant mud sling from both sides, this entire debate seems unprofessional and ridiculous but told very well through powerful speakers.
ReplyDeleteMitt Romney's speech talked about us, the people. He talked about the most important things people wanna hear. He talked about jobs, jobs, jobs. He also talked about us and our family saying thats who he wants to help, and were more important. Then again, thats not what all people want to hear. People also want to hear about the war and HOW he will make changes which I think he wasn't so strong in that subject in his speech.
ReplyDeletePaul Ryan's speech talked bad about Obama a lot. He said how Obama downgraded America, added debt and made empty promises. I dont like that he talked about Obama badly but he had to do it to make a strong point. He said ' Why would the next four years be any different then the last four?" , which I think was the best thing he said. Other then saying Romney will restore everything which is just another promise we wont know will happen unless we elect Romney , he pointed out that Obama had four years to prove hope and change and he really didn't so why should we give him another four years?. In argument to that statement Clinton stated that no president could fix all the damage in four years that Obama was dealt with. Obama also said it would take years to solve these challenges we are facing.
Clintons speech was the most interesting and entertaining. Out of all speakers Clinton is the strongest, and I'm saying that even though I dont like Obama. Clinton said exactly what the people want to hear. He talked about the American dream, about a strong middle class, and cooperation.
Obamas speech pointed out how the two presidents have clearly two different paths. Romney gives more freedom while Obama is all about being in it all together.
-Nicole Perez
In my opinion , I feel that Romney speech was just showing the negativity of president Obama . He did nt really tell us on his ideas about how he will help us Americans . However , president Obama have done numerous of things to help out the middle class . As bill Clinton said in his speech no president including Obama and himself can put the united states back on its feet FOUR years is not enough !!!! While Romney and Ryan look at the negativity Obama have done a hand full of things to help the middle class . For instance , financial aid for students , health care , helping out the military families , etc. to get the united states back on its feet can not take four years . You needier time then that . Instead of romney telling us how president Obama is a bad president because he did this and that , he should explain to his how we are going to progress . President Obama and former president bill Clinton are amazing speakers they know how to get the attention of people . I feel that Romney doesn't have a strategic method for the united states to get on its feet or at least try to get back on its feet

ReplyDeleteWhile watching Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan's speeches rather then being told use full information about the war and the economy, I only heard jokes and irrelevant information. Mitt Romney chose to spend his time bashing President Obama instead of sharing his own plan, which apparently doesn't exist. Paul Ryan shared information about his hometown and family, two things that shouldn't concerns voters.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I feel Bill Clintons speech should be irrelevent because his wife is the secretary of state , his speech was by far the best. Unlike the republicans speech he focused on the goals of the country and of how Obama is doing a good job.
I believe Mitt Romneys speech was effective in laying out the differences what President Obama wants for the country and what he wants. Romney spoke about wanting to repeal and replace Obamacare, but he failed to convince me that he has a plan that is a better option. He proposes a lot of things but never went into specific details.
ReplyDeleteI feel that Paul Ryans speech was just him criticizing the president. Also he made false statements on the president’s health care law and Mitt Romney’s record in Massachusetts.
I loved Bill Clintons speech because he proved that the most convincing way to argue for Barack Obama’s performance during his first term was to have someone who’s held that lonely job do the arguing for him. Only Bill Clinton could deliver my favorite lines of the speech, saying that “no one — not me, not any of my predecessors” could have dug this country out of the economic mess the president inherited. So pretty much he was defending Obama and saying its not a easy job and what he's done with what he inherited as a nation ex: war, failing economy, lack of jobs, home ownership problems.
-Elijah Vazquez
Honestly I only got to watch vice president Paul Ryan's speech because my cast smelt so bad I had to go to the emergency room and get it taken off and that took forever but I am in love with him. He's for the middle class which is majority of America and is an amazing speaker. He knows how to get the people's attention and what he is doing. I wouldn't mind him as president but I thinks that's only because he's so good looking. I like how he made sure to thank where he came from and show his family. It shows how he is a good person and has a good home life. This kind of person should be in charge of our country. It's almost 2 in the morning I'm going to sleep. I feel like I'm writing in my journal. I'll watch the other videos tommorow
ReplyDeleteLauren Dougherty
After listening to both Romney and Ryan's speech I can simply say it was not great as a current president Obama's speech. Maybe to die hard republicans the speeches were strong and heart warming but not to me. The only strong points about both these speakers is they way they attack there opposing office, and I guess this is a good quality because after all it is a competition. But all they did was continuously point out the presidents flaws and things he has not accomplished. I think that was the downfall of both these speeches. Yes, some may argue president Obama hasn't done anything within the last for years, but that is the reason we wants to be/should be re-elected because there is so much more to do and that cannot all be accomplished in fours year. I believe that Romney and Ryan are both good people but they needed to talk more about their goals for the future of America.
ReplyDeleteBill Clinton's speech I mush say was very entertaining. I don't know if it has something to do with already being a president like Obama but both seem to have a way with communicating with people as no other. When both speak you just want to continue to listen its quiet enjoying. I guess Bill Cliton and I both agree Obama should be re-elected because there is just way more to be done and Obama is the man for the job.
Romney's speech in my opinion wasnt too good. he spent a lot of time focusing on the things Obama "didn't do" but it's not like you just become president and things start automatically changing. things like that can take a while considering the country was already in bad shape when he became the president. if Romney becomes president, im sure he wont be able to completely fix America in his 4 year term. it is a lot of pressure in a short amount of time. I think Romney should have spent less time bashing what Obama has or has not accomplished, and more time trying to convince America that he has a worthy plan to try and fix America.
ReplyDeleteTaylor Georges
Overall the speeches were very good, but personally I favored President Obama's Speech. I favored his speech over Romney's speech because all Romney did was attack the democrats. He didn't really talk about what he would do if he became president. Unlike Romney, President Obama talked about what he did these past four years as president and the things he would do to help our country if he gets to serve another four years as our president. President Obama talked about how he could make our country better if he wins another term. Romney didn't talk about what he would do as president, all he did was talk about the things he think President Obama did wrong. I think Obama deserves another four years as president.
ReplyDelete-Tabitha Stewart
Ryan talked bad about Obama and talked about he would fix everything Obama caused.
ReplyDeleteRomney said we deserve better and kept bringing up random things that weren't needed.
Clinton had a good speech he wants to help the middle class talked about obamas successes while Ryan and Romney didn't.
Romney opened up more about his family/religion. It made him more personal than he has been with the public in the past. It was clear that Romney is very concerned about the economy and is dedicated to creating more jobs because he knows how to do it.Romney simply asked if we, the public, were just as happy with Barak Obama as the day we voted for him- knowing that most Americans would answer 'no' to this. This was a simple but powerful question. Romney talked about his plans for getting the economy on the right track but wasn't very specific with how he was going to do it. There wasn't anything very remarkable or memorable made in his speech that would make you run out and vote for him.
ReplyDeleteIt was very moving when Ryan talked about his mother being a small business owner and how she was his role model in life. When Ryan referred to President Obama's visit to a General Motor's Plant in Ryan's home town in 2008 with a promise that it would not close down and one year later it was shut down. This was a direct shot at President Obama showing there were promises he did not keep.
Bill Clinton spoke to the audience as if he was in your living room talking directly to you. He makes you feel as if the conversation is a one-on-one and so it is easy to believe that he is warm and sincere when he is asking you to reelect Barak Obama.
-Brianna Alloggio
During the republican national convention Romney's speech had weak points when he was taking about family. His strong points was when he was talking about jobs and the future of America also he was very very good speaker. Paul ryan weak point in his speech was that he was not the best speaker. The strong point in his speech is when he was talking about healthcare plans. Bill Clinton speech was about Obama saving jobs in America. Adam vidas
ReplyDeleteI think that Ryan's speech focused too much on himself, his own life and his own hometown. Him and Romney both bashed Obama to an extent that it never should have went because they didn't say how they could do it better. Both speeches could not keep my attention and I did not agree with really any of their points. Neither mentioned the troops, their families or bringing anyone home. I don't think that either man deserves the honor of ruling our county.
ReplyDeleteClinton spoke excellently. He assured the country that Obama has done good for the country and will do even better in the next 4 years. He stated that it told FDR 12 years to get the country out of the depression so Obama can fix more with another term.

Romneys speech was able to hold my attention longer than Obamas. I like how the people in his audience randomly started USA chants. He pointed out a lot of problems that hard wokring people in the middle class have to deal with like wokring two jobs. Although Obama did point out that he did not have much of a plan about what he was going to do about those problems. Obama seemed spoke more about what he was going to do during his presidency.clintons speech caused me to fall alseeep.
ReplyDeleteI did not like Paul Ryan's speech. He didn't capture my attention and I doubt he captured the rest of the audience. He spent way to much time criticizing Obama instead of discussing what he would do for our country. The few things he said he would do for our country weren't elaborated on and didnt sound like they would really ever be accomplished. I was pretty upset that neither mitt Romney or ryan said anything about the people in the miliary and their families.
ReplyDeleteI really didn't see any strong points in their speeches. They bashed obama way to much instead of discussing what really matters.
Obama is a great speaker and he made a very good speech. Bill Clinton also was a good speaker and discussed how Obama tryed to help our country and how he is continuing to help our country.
